Domo Fabric, St. Gallen

Demand for offices weakened after the pandemic. The owner, Mobimo, then looked for a new use for an office building on a former textile-industry site in St. Gallen.

The building was converted into a co-living residence with 94 rooms, seven large shared kitchens, a roof terrace and a co-working space. Tomodomo, a specialist co-living operator, runs the building. It was the operator's first office conversion, with Halter as total contractor.

We supported the repositioning strategy and the search for an operator, connecting the owner with a specialist co-living partner.

Domo Fabric opened in summer 2023 in its new residential use.
